Gwongeumseong Fortress

  
Still in the Mount Seroak, you must visit Gwongeumseong Fortress. It is the site of a castle ruins namely Mt. Seoraksan. Folks there also call it Mt. Onggeumsan castle or Toto Castle. Located on the steep of Dol Mountain of Mount Seorak, it is built in the period of 23rd king of the Goryeo Period.
Nearby the Sogongwon, there is Biryonggo Bridge, which is the path leading us to the Gwongeumseong Fortress. However, if you want to walk, it takes about half-one hour though a steep. It is about 2.5 km in distance. Is there any other option? Of course there is. You can make it by using cable cars. Dr. gi-Sup Lee is a such Genius man who built the cable cars in 1971. His masterpiece have been used to accommodate many tourists which want to travel through the steep.

Opened from 7 a.m to 6 p.m, the cable car departs every 7 minutes. So you will not have to wait longer to travel. From east to west side of Gwongeumseong Fortress, you can see there are more than 80 sections of rocks and stones which create the incredible Mount Seorak.
